Mosaics for Beginners and Improvers

An overview of different techniques for different projects – what to use where and why
Beginners to mosaic will be given a small board to work on to make a mosaic from start to finish.
All materials and tools supplied.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who is making a mosaic for the first time, or for people who have made a mosaic before and want to learn more.

Cost: £175 for the weekend. £95 for one day.

Beginners are encouraged to do both days to make a mosaic from start to finish.

North London based artist Alex McHallam MA has worked on several public art commissions that can be seen throughout North London and beyond, including Southgate, Palmers Green and Enfield. Her work focuses on the local fauna and flora of the area as well as local stories she discovers through the extensive community engagement she undertakes with each project. She is widely experienced in teaching mosaics at all levels and is former Chair of the British Association for Modern Mosaics.
