Event Series Event Series: Postnatal Circle

Postnatal Circle (with babies)

July 7, 2027 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

This circle is a baby-friendly space to gather with other mothers, drink tea, be guided through some grounding breaths and share in the full spectrum experience of matrescence – becoming a mother.

Think of it as a stay and play that goes beyond small talk to find deeper connection and solidarity with other mothers navigating the postnatal period.

What is a circle?

A circle is a held space, different to a social gathering, to share stories, to be seen, heard and to witness, free of advice and judgement.

Why gather in circle?

Sharing our experience and witnessing others do the same reminds us that we’re part of something, together. It’s a powerful thing to hear someone speak and think ‘I feel that too’.

In what can be an isolating time, circle offers an antidote to feeling alone.

How does the sharing work?

The circle begins with a group check-in. This is an opportunity to give voice to anything that feels current for you, a hurdle, a corner turned, something joyful, something hard. The space then opens up to reflect on a particular theme, it might be identity, relationships or creativity to name a few. There’s never any expectation to share if you don’t feel comfortable. You’re always welcome to participate through listening.
