Our Story

The Old Nursery forms part of the curtilage of the Holy Trinity Church and was previously know as the Under 5s, which was a community nursery opened by Bernie Grant, then leader of Haringey Council, on October 1985. The centre had places for 25 children aged between 2-5 and was set up due to efforts by Tottenham Childcare Campaign through campaigning for a community nursery in 1980, which resulted in capital grant funding from Haringey Council to imaginatively convert the building by Community land and Work Space Services (CLAWS). The nursery closed down operations in 2012 and have been sitting empty ever since.

The Holy Trinity Church is Grade II listed building and was the second church to be built in Tottenham after All Hallows. The Holy Trinity was designed by James Savage and built in 1828-1830. Savage modelled the church on King’s College Chapel Cambridge for the built of the church.
The group of buildings are located within the Tottenham Green Conservations Area. Tottenham Green is a designated historic park with former roman settlements within the park.

After a 5 year long process working closely with the Holy Trinity Church, we are pleased to have brought this site back in to use again in 2025 as a creative hub providing workshops, workspace and eventually a restaurant for the local community and beyond.
